Kingspan K3 Insulation is a Kingspan phenolic floor insulation board.
This Kingspan Kooltherm K3 is a premium performance rigid thermoset phenolic insulation board for use under screed finished floors and suspended timber ground floors.
Importantly Kingspan K3 insulation is available in a range of thicknesses from 25mm up to 150mm.Kooltherm K3 offers considerable advantages over other floor insulations as it offers both a higher degree of insulation properties along with a higher compressive strength. This when compared to standard PIR type insulation boards.
Kingspan Kooltherm can have thermal conductivities as low as 0.020 W/m K furthermore the board is Class 0 Fire rated and is resistant to the passage of water vapour. The boards are manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone depletion and low Global warming potential. So has very little impact on the environment.
Kingspan K3 is ideal for both new builds and refurbishment applications and is easy to install and handle. It should be noted that when installing under screed floors all joints should be sealed.
