Celotex TB4000 Insulation Thermal Break Board
Celotex TB4000 Insulation is a multi-purpose PIR insulation board. Thermal break Celotex insulation is designed for eliminating thermal bridging in pitched roofs and flat roofs. When installing as roof insulation this is generally done by placing a layer over the entire roof timbers after using Celotex GA4000 or XR4000 cut to fit in between rafters. An alternative to doing this can be to use an all in one solution such as Celotex PL4000 insulated plasterboard.
Also Celotex TB4000 can be used for the up-stand perimeter insulation in floor insulation projects to cancel any potential cold bridging in the floor. When used in floors TB4000 is usually cut into strips the depth of the insulation and the screed thickness added together, then inserted around the edge of the floor. The entire floor is then covered in DPM and concrete screed poured into what is the effect an insulation bowl.
Especially relevant Celotex TB4000 is available in board thicknesses from 20 mm – 40 mm deep. 20 mm makes Celotex the thinnest PIR insulation board of this type that you can buy on the market at the time of writing.
