Celotex FI5000 Underfloor Insulation
Celotex FI5000 is a high performance flooring insulation board. This high specification insulation board is suitable for concrete slab, beam and block floors , suspended timber and under floor heating insulation. FI5000 provides a superb thermal performance and has been designed with installation efficiency in mind. Featuring a most noteworthy super low lambda of 0.021W/mK. At the time of writing FI5000 complies to UK Building Regulations with better U-values and thinner solutions than a standard PIR insulation board.
Celotex FI5000 uses its best in class PIR Celotex insulation with a new composite facer with a built-in vapour control layer (VCL). This enables direct screed, without this facing a separate damp proof membrane would be required to stop screed reacting with the foil facing. FI5000 under floor insulation has an enhanced compressive strength value of ≥175 kPa making it an ideal solution for a range of floor insulation applications including under floor heating. In addition the insulation board provides minimal downward heat loss and its enhanced density provides good pipe clip retention when installing underfloor heating systems.
When installing Celotex FI5000 it it advisable to install Celotex US4000 as a perimeter upstand insulation to eliminate any possible cold bridging in the floor insulation.
