Kingspan TW50 Cavity Insulation
Kingspan Insulation Therma range includes the Kingspan TW50 partial fill cavity wall insulation. This insulation board is designed to be built in between brick and block cavity walls. It is a high performance rigid PIR thermal insulation core board and has a low emissivity foil facing on both sides.
This type of Kingspan PIR foam insulation board can often meet the same thermal values of that of fibreglass but at half the thickness.
Kingspan TW50 can have a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022W/m K. This is dependent on the other materials used in the overall construction. Using this product enables the ability to maintain a partially clear cavity. Notably this style of cavity wall construction is widely acclaimed to be the best way to build.
TW50 board resists any potential moisture penetration. Kingspan cavity insulation board meets the national house building councils technical requirements when leaving a 50 mm clear cavity. It is easy to handle, and safe being a non deleterious material meaning it is non damaging to both health and the environment.
