Recticel Eurowall Cavity Insulation
Recticel cavity wall insulation is made in two different types. Partial fill which is the one on this page and Recticel eurowall + full fill cavity wall insulation. Using Recticel eurowall partial fill cavity insulation is easy to install using appropriate wall ties and discs at recommended spacing. Having square edges helps to give a good thermal barrier as they can be butted up close to each other with minimal gaps. Recticel cavity insulation is a PIR foam core with both sides covered in low emissive foil facings. Because the facings are low emissive they provide an improved thermal resistance in the clear cavity. Another plus with this type of board is that it has a super low moisture absorption.
Recticel cavity wall insulation is manufactured in sizes from 25mm up to 100mm some of which are only made to order in certain amounts. The board size is 1200×450 which fits in with proper wall tie spacing. If you require a specific thickness please do call our sales team who can advise price and availability on your requirements.
Using Recticel cavity insulation can help achieve target ‘u’ values with a thinner product than lets say a fibreglass insulation. Interestingly it also has the benefit of retaining a partially clear cavity which in many peoples view is good building practice.
With a fire performance of euroclass ‘F’ and a low lambda value of 0.022 W/m-K you knw that you are using a high specification cavity insulation material.
