Rockwool FirePro Firestop Compound

Rockwool Firepro Firestop Compound is used where a fire resisting seal around service penetrations in fire rated walls and floors is required. Rockwools Firestop Compound is a specially formulated gypsum based compound. This product is mixed with water which can then be troweled or poured around service penetrations. This fire resistant Rockwool compound has uses such as re-instating fire resistance in wall and floor constructions. Also for use in load bearing seals around unsupported fire dampers.

Importantly Rockwool FirePro® Firestop Compound has been tested to BS 476 Part 20:1987.

When reinforced , Firestop Compound can offer up to 360 minutes protection for both Insulation and Integrity in masonry / concrete walls or concrete floors.
When un-reinforced , Rockwool Firestop Compound can offer up to 240 minutes protection for both Integrity and Insulation in masonry / concrete walls or concrete floors.
Plastic pipework must be protected with either Rockwools Firestop Pipe Collars or Intumescent Pipe Wraps.
