Kingspan K118 Insulation
Kingspan K118 Insulation is Kingspan insulations new lower Lambda insulated plasterboard. The Kingspan Kooltherm K118 is a high performance rigid phenolic foam insulation laminated to 12.5 mm tapered edge plasterboard. This insulated plasterboard is for use internally on walls and ceilings. It is an ideal material for use in loft conversions to eliminate thermal bridging whilst giving a finish that can be decorated. Decoration can be directly onto the board after all joints are taped and jointed or after a skim coat of plaster.
Properties of Kooltherm K118
K118 insulation comes in a range of thicknesses from 25 mm up to 70 mm plus the 12.5 mm plasterboard. K118 offers a considerable advantage over other types of insulated plasterboard as it offers a higher degree of insulation.
Most Importantly Kingspan Kooltherm K118 can have a thermal conductivity as low as 0.019 W/mK. The board is Euroclass B-s1,d0 Fire rated and is resistant to the passage of water vapour. This insulated plasterboard can be mechanically fixed or dot and dabbed using drywall adhesive, making it very versatile. K118 is an ideal solution for both new build and refurbishment projects.
